How this calculator works
This calculator uses the Julian year of exactly 365.25 days documented by NASA JPL. With 1440 minutes per day, one such year contains 525960 minutes. A 365-day calendar year has 525600 minutes, so the two conventions should not be silently interchanged.
Formula
Julian years = minutes / 525960; minutes = Julian years x 525960.
Worked example
A 1051920 minute interval is exactly 2 Julian years. A quarter of a Julian year contains 131490 minutes. A 365-day interval gives about 0.9993155373 Julian years.
