How this calculator works
A week has exactly seven duration days. Divide days by seven for decimal weeks, or multiply weeks by seven to reverse it. For whole weeks and remaining days, take the integer part of the week count and multiply its fractional part by seven. These are elapsed durations, not working-day counts.
Formula
weeks = days / 7; days = weeks x 7; remaining days = days - 7 x floor(days / 7).
Worked example
17 days is 2.4285714286 weeks, which is 2 full weeks and 3 days. A duration of 2.5 weeks is 17.5 days.

Frequently asked questions
Are weekends included?
Yes. Every week includes all seven days. This is not a business-day calculator.
Does a decimal week mean days after the decimal point?
No. The fractional part is a fraction of seven days. For example, 0.5 week is 3.5 days.
Can a duration be less than one week?
Yes. One day is exactly 1/7 week, and zero days is zero weeks.
