How this calculator works
A duration day is exactly 24 hours or 86,400 seconds. Weeks contain seven days. This calculator uses a Julian year of 365.25 days and defines an average month as one twelfth of that year. These are duration units, not a calendar calculation. Daylight saving changes and leap seconds are outside this fixed-duration model.
Formula
hours = days x 24; minutes = days x 1440; seconds = days x 86400; weeks = days / 7; Julian years = days / 365.25.
Worked example
2.5 days is exactly 60 hours, 3,600 minutes or 216,000 seconds. Starting with 36 hours gives 1.5 days.

Calendar months vary from 28 to 31 days. This page uses an explicitly defined average duration instead.
Can I enter part of a day?
Yes. For example, 0.25 day is exactly 6 hours.
