How this calculator works
A fixed day contains 24 hours, each containing 60 minutes. Dividing by 1440 therefore gives the duration in days. Fractional days stay fractional in the main result; the mixed-unit readout shows the whole days and remaining hours, minutes and seconds.
Formula
days = minutes / 1440; minutes = days x 1440.
Worked example
A 3600 minute interval is 2.5 days, or 2 days 12 hours. A 1.25 day interval is 1800 minutes.
