How this calculator works
A day of 24 hours contains 86,400 seconds, because an hour is 3,600 s. Dividing a duration in seconds by 86,400 gives days. The result is a length of time, not a date: it does not account for daylight saving changes, time zones or leap seconds. A shift, a battery runtime or a countdown converts cleanly, while a calendar interval measured across a clock change may be an hour away from the fixed arithmetic.
