How this calculator works
The Indian numbering system groups digits in twos after the first thousand. One lakh is 100,000 and one crore is 100 lakh, or 10,000,000. That makes a crore exactly one hundred times a lakh, so the conversion is a clean factor of 100.
Formula
lakhs = crores x 100. crores = lakhs / 100. 1 lakh = 100,000. 1 crore = 10,000,000.
Worked example
1 crore = 100 lakh = 10,000,000. 2.5 crore = 250 lakh. 7,500 lakh = 75 crore.
