How this calculator works
The litre is exactly one cubic decimetre. Dividing it into 1,000 millilitres gives the same volume as one cubic centimetre. Changing the label from cc to mL leaves the number unchanged. This tool reports volume, with no assumptions about a substance or its concentration.
Formula
mL = cc; cc = mL; litres = cc / 1000.
Worked example
12.5 cc is exactly 12.5 mL and 0.0125 L. A container marked 250 mL has a volume of 250 cc.

Frequently asked questions
Is cc equal to mL for every liquid?
Yes. The equality is between volume units, so the liquid does not affect it.
Is one cc also one gram?
Only approximately for water under suitable conditions. For other materials, supply the density in the cc to grams converter.
Does this calculate an amount of medicine?
It changes volume units only. It does not interpret prescriptions or convert a concentration into an amount to take.
