How this calculator works
This is a mass-scaling worksheet. You supply the daily rate and ingredient percentages from an independently formulated ration. The tool checks that shares total 100%, but that check says nothing about nutrient adequacy. Neither body-weight percentage nor an 80/10/5/5 split is a complete nutritional standard. Growth diets require particular care.
Formula
Daily food kg = planning body weight kg × ration fraction. Batch kg = daily kg × days. Each ingredient mass = ration mass × ingredient fraction. Reverse modes solve body weight or ration fraction.
Worked example
For an illustrative 20 kg planning weight and 2% ration rate, daily mass is 400 g and seven days require 2.8 kg. A supplied 80% ingredient share scales to 320 g/day. These numbers do not show that the ration is balanced.

Frequently asked questions
Is the default split a recommended diet?
No. It only demonstrates proportional scaling. Have the complete formulation assessed before feeding.
Can the tool set a puppy feeding rate?
No. Puppy growth needs an appropriate complete diet or a specialist formulation; this page supplies no age-based rate.
Does freezing remove the raw-food risk?
Do not assume freezing makes raw food free of pathogens. Follow veterinary and public-health food-handling advice.
