How this calculator works
The calendar counts scheduled weekdays after removing your weekly days off. Divide full monthly salary by that count and multiply by days eligible for pay. Enter paid holidays and leave only when they fall on scheduled days and are not already in days worked. This is a contract-based proration method, not a statutory tax calculation.
Formula
Prorated salary = monthly salary x (worked days + paid holidays + paid leave) / scheduled workdays in the month.
Worked example
January 2026 has 22 Monday-to-Friday workdays. A $4,400 monthly salary pays $200 per scheduled day. Fifteen worked days and one paid holiday give $3,200 gross.
