How this calculator works
The quote multiplies care time per day, number of days and a single agreed hourly rate. Reverse modes divide to find a missing term. Fractional days are allowed as arithmetic planning values; your provider may bill whole visits or days. Overnight, per-visit and per-pet quotes need their own agreement. The example rate is illustrative and is not a claim about current local prices.
Formula
Total CAD = hours per day × days × CAD per hour. Hourly rate = total/(hours × days). Hours per day = total/(rate × days). Days = total/(rate × hours).
Worked example
Two hours per day for five days at $25/hour totals $250 for ten hours. Three hours per day for four days at $20/hour totals $240 for twelve hours.

Frequently asked questions
Are taxes and extra fees included?
No. Add any agreed tax, travel, holiday or extra-pet charges separately, and check the sitter's written quote.
Can I compare overnight and hourly offers directly?
Only after you clarify what each offer includes. Overnight care may use a flat package rather than every hour being billable.
Why is a result above 24 hours rejected?
Hours per day has a physical limit. The implied budget, rate and schedule are inconsistent if the arithmetic exceeds it.
