How this calculator works
Equivalent fractions name the same value with different numerator and denominator pairs. Reduce the original value, then multiply both parts by each positive integer in the table. Checking equivalence compares the two reduced pairs exactly. The table starts with the reduced fraction, so a reducible original may appear later rather than in its original form.
Formula
a/b = (ka)/(kb) for non-zero k. Two fractions are equal when their reduced signed numerators and positive denominators match.
Worked example
For 2/3, the first three rows are 2/3, 4/6 and 6/9. The mixed number 1 1/2 is equivalent to 9/6 because both reduce to 3/2.

Frequently asked questions
Why multiply both parts?
Multiplying numerator and denominator by the same non-zero factor multiplies the fraction by one.
Can I generate equivalents of zero?
Yes. Zero is reduced to 0/1, giving 0/1, 0/2, 0/3 and so on.
How long can the table be?
Choose 1 to 100 rows. All rows remain exact fractions rather than rounded decimal values.
