How this calculator works
This is a contribution-table lookup, not a compound-return forecast. Joining age and pension tier select the published monthly contribution. Total payments assume every monthly contribution is made through age 60 with no arrears or changes. The indicative nominee corpus is separate from contributions and pension income. Applicants must satisfy the current APY eligibility rules; income-tax payers have been excluded from new enrolment since October 2022. The table alone does not establish eligibility.
Formula
Monthly contribution = published chart entry for joining age and pension tier. Scheduled total = monthly contribution x 12 x (60 - joining age).
Worked example
At age 18, the INR 5,000 monthly pension tier requires INR 210 monthly, or INR 105,840 over 42 years. At age 40, the same tier requires INR 1,454 monthly, totalling INR 348,960 over 20 years.
