How this calculator works
CCF stands for centum cubic feet, Latin for one hundred cubic feet. Water and gas utilities use it because a cubic foot is a convenient unit for metering and 100 cubic feet is a readable billing unit. One CCF is exactly 100 cubic feet, which is about 2.832 cubic metres or 748.05 US gallons. The US gallon is defined as exactly 231 cubic inches, and the imperial gallon is a separate larger unit of exactly 4.54609 litres, so the two gallon answers differ.
Formula
cubic metres = CCF x 100 x 0.028316846592 = CCF x 2.8316846592. US gallons = cubic metres / 0.003785411784. Cubic feet = CCF x 100. Litres = cubic metres x 1,000. Imperial gallons = cubic metres / 0.00454609.
Worked example
1 CCF is 100 cubic feet, 2.83168 m3, 2,831.68 litres, 748.052 US gallons and 622.884 imperial gallons. 10 CCF is 7,480.52 US gallons. 100 US gallons is 13.3681 cubic feet or 0.133681 CCF.

Frequently asked questions
What does the C in CCF stand for?
Centum, the Latin word for one hundred. CCF is a hundred cubic feet, not a cubic centimetre. The metric cubic centimetre is written cm3 or cc and is one millionth of a cubic metre.
Why is my water bill in CCF rather than gallons?
A cubic foot is close to 7.48 US gallons, so a whole number of CCF covers a household bill without very long numbers. Many utilities also show thousands of gallons, which is close to but not identical to CCF.
Are the gallons US or imperial?
Both are shown. The US gallon is 3.785411784 L and the imperial gallon is 4.54609 L, so 1 CCF is 748.052 US gallons but only 622.884 imperial gallons.
