How this calculator works
Interpolate tabulated pure-ethylene liquid densities sampled from the Smukala equation of state through CoolProp 8.0.0 HEOS, using 2 K intervals plus the liquid boundary, refined to 0.25 K above 270 K at 50 bar. At 1 and 10 bar the upper boundary is the saturated-liquid temperature; at 50 bar this table stops at 280 K. The lower limit is 110 K. No extrapolation is permitted. The result is a tabular estimate, not an online equation-of-state evaluation.
Formula
rho(T) = rho1 + (rho2 - rho1)(T - T1)/(T2 - T1); m = rho V.
Worked example
At a measured mass of 0.6 kg and volume 1 L, density is 600 kg/m3. At density 600 kg/m3, a 2 L liquid volume contains 1.2 kg.

Frequently asked questions
Can I enter pressure between the three choices?
No. The data are separate isobars at 1, 10 and 50 bar absolute.
What happens above the liquid boundary?
The calculator rejects the temperature rather than returning a gas density as a liquid result.
Is the interpolation exact?
No. It interpolates tabulated samples, with finer spacing near the 50 bar critical region. Use a full validated equation of state for precision thermophysical work.
