How this calculator works
Effective DPI is the mouse resolution multiplied by the sensitivity multiplier used by the game. Percentage notation must first be divided by 100. Use the result to compare settings within the same game and input system; it does not include game-specific yaw constants or acceleration.
Formula
eDPI = DPI x sensitivity multiplier; multiplier = percentage / 100.
Worked example
800 DPI at sensitivity 0.5 gives 400 eDPI. At 1600 DPI, a sensitivity of 0.25 gives the same 400 eDPI.

Frequently asked questions
Can I compare eDPI across different games?
Usually no. Games translate mouse counts to angles differently, so equal eDPI need not mean equal turn distance.
What is DPI?
It is the nominal number of mouse counts reported per inch of travel.
How do I enter percentage sensitivity?
Select percentage and enter 50 for a multiplier of 0.5.
